Cave Creek, AZ Ride - 9/20/08

On Saturday, the Mrs and I took off for Cave Creek, AZ. This is located on the northeast side of Phoenix, a short ride from Peoria. The goal was to visit the town and then take off to see Buddy Stubbs Arizona Harley-Davidson.

The ride was not exactly the most exciting in the world, however I was able to let the Harley loose on the 101. Once we arrived to Cave Creek road, we turned left and headed for the town. Really nothing eventful after you turn onto Cave Creek. It is pretty much a straight shot into town with the speed at a constant 55 down to 45. WATCH YOUR SPEED. The Sherrif's station is located close to town.

There were plenty of restaurants in Cave Creek to choose from along with several merchant stores. We chose to eat at "Harolds". The menu had plenty to choose from ranging in high to low price range. I would say it was very affordable. The restaurant itself had plenty of seating and even a stage for a band. Would I go back, probably so. But again, there were plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from.

After finishing up lunch, we headed back down Cave Creek road to Buddy Stubbs. I have to personally give them 5 revs right off the bat! Their customer service was excellent and the store itself was nicely laid out. I have been to plenty of Harley dealers and I would have to put them right next to my friends at Harley Davidson of Dallas in Allen, TX. Something that is rare at the Buddy Stubbs location is that he has his own museum. We did not have time to visit, however, it is a definte "To Do" next time we are there.

After checking out a few bikes and shopping around we headed back home. Total mileage for the day was 83.3 miles. For the ride itself, I would give it 3 revs.

Rubber Side Down..
